SUBARU STARLINK App Reviews

Worst app I have ever installed. As others have noted, it is sluggish, non-intuitive, and completely useless for anything you might want to do with it. I tried to use it to update my profile to add a driver and emergency contact info (which they nag me to do constantly via email), and the update screen always locks up and goes "gray". It will not allow me to scroll down to continue filling in the info, and when I tap the grayed out window all the info I have typed in disappears. Congratulations if you have bought a Subaru, they are indeed awesome cars. But save yourself a lot of frustration by not installing this app. The software is so terrible that I doubt if I will be tempted to extend my Starlink subscription when the free one expires.

Please work on the app!!!! It is lagging and not user friendly.

One cant even get started with this worthless app. So there! I agree with all the other one star reviews. I do like my 2016 Outback, however.

This app is just awful. its slow, buggy and basically useless. Just integrate CarPlay and move on. I was really excited for the app with my new car but this is just a huge joke.

I think the only reason why this app exists is so Subaru can say they have an app. As others have said this app doesnt do anything

Dear Subaru, How can you make such a great car and then ship this? Please give us CarPlay, and fire whatever vendor sold you this piece of junk. Your cars deserve better.

While I have installed the app I have yet to discover it actually doing anything other than displaying its version in the only option it has. Purports to provide text functionally etc but does not do anything. Totally Useless!!!

Starlink has zero purpose. Does nothing useful. I would expect to be able to connect and start my car with the remote starter through the app, lock/ unlock my doors, ect. Whats the point of it. Will not be extending my free trial of it. Subaru what were you thinking. This app is terrible does not function smoothly and glitches all the time. Waste of space on my phone. Get your act together Subaru

Wow. A lot of detractors on the Reviews section. And theyd be right. Its truly a worthless app. So much so that Im beginning to get disgusted with having to read "Starlink" every time I turn over my car.

Useless

I hope that Subaru will soon be hiring another intern to finish the work of the one who quit before finishing the programming of this app. Maybe program a "do not press" button that lights up every time you press it and does nothing else. That would make this app twice as useful.

Unfortunately all the other reviews you read are right. Dont waste your time like I did with this. - No use, no function, nada...

Im not sure why prior have reviewed this all so low. It works great with my new Legacy. Update: still works great!

Completely and utterly useless.

Hopped on here to complain with the hope that Subaru will do something about this app. Connectivity is horrible in my 16 Crosstrek Premium. It is truly disappointing to have something so horrible in a car I love.

I just bought a 2016 Subaru Outback and this app is worthless. Subaru really needs to sit down with Apple to come up with an app that actually works and gives some usable capabilities. It crashes constantly and when it’s not crashed it doesn’t do much.

This app and everything associated with it is fing worthless. It almost makes me wish I didnt buy a Subaru. Get CarPlay, now.

Subaru makes fine cars but their infotainment systems are terrible and this app is even worse. Just bought a new Impreza and I cant wait to rip the stereo out and replace it with CarPlay.

I love everything about my Outback but this app. What is its purpose? All it does is crash every time.

I would pay $20 for an app the lets me remote control start or something.... SO INVEST SUBARU WE WILL PAY ANYTHING!!!!
